Musiq soulchild who is he dating
Well done Musiq, love your music and now this book! this book is essentially a bible for both of the sexes and it destroys all of the self/relationship defeating beliefs out there.i wish he could spend a little more time on the communication dynamics but he explains incredibly well with the wants and needs that people experience in a relationship and how we sabotage ourselves all too well.worth a reread if your relationship is on the rocks and need a straightforward perspective.Musiq: I am everyday people I am everyday people See, I was resting at the park, minding my own Business as I kick up the treble tone On my radio tape player box, right Just loud enough so folks could hear it's hype, see Outta nowhere, comes the woman I'm dating Investigation maybe she was demonstrating But nevertheless, I was pleased My day was going great and my soul was at ease Until a group of brothers started bugging out Drinking the 40 ounce, going the nigga route Disrespecting my black queen Holding their crotches and being obscene At first, I ignored them, 'cause, see, I know the type They got drunk, they got guns, and yeah, they wanna fight And they see a young couple having a time that's good So their egos wanna test a brother's manhood So they came to test 'cause of my hair-do And the loud bright colors that I wear I was a target, 'cause I'm a fashion misfit And the outfit that I'm wearing, brothers dissing it Well, I stay calm and pray the brothers leave me be But they're squeezing parts of my date's anatomy Why, Lord, do brothers have to drill me?[Hook] I'm not trying to pressure you Just can't stop thinkin' 'bout you You ain't even really gotta be my girlfriend I just wanna know your name and maybe some time We can hook up, hang out, just chill [Bridge] Oh, oh, baby, yeah Maybe we can Go and see a movie girl Or maybe we can hangout girl Whatever you wanna do Just let me know It's up to you [Hook] I'm not trying to pressure you Just can't stop thinkin' 'bout you You ain't even really gotta be my girlfriend I just wanna know your name and maybe some time We can hook up, hang out, just chill I'm not trying to pressure you Just can't stop thinkin' 'bout you You ain't even really gotta be my girlfriend I just wanna know your name and maybe some time We can hook up, hang out, just chill The 1st single off Musiq’s debut album, Aijwanaseing, it hit #31 on details spread along the two discs - a nearly prog-rock guitar at the start of "Test Drive," big band drums launching "Sooner or Later," an Isaac Hayes-like soul feel on "Start Over" and a guitar-piano combination that screams Radiohead on "Hard Liquor" - but sometimes they taper off deeper into the songs, dissolving some of their appeal.Album closer "Simple Things" contains a few elements some of the other songs could have benefited from in larger doses - an instrumental solo and about 20 seconds of stripped-down vocals which charm with their beauty and, duh, simplicity.
I'll probably be with my peeps, if it's cool with you, maybe we'll swing by And you can just chill (with us), or you can just chill with me As long as you're comfortable, and you feel secure when your with me Cause...
Clearly, there's a lot of music in Musiq Soulchild these days - he also released an album in 2016 - and, despite some excesses, "Feel the Real" reaffirms him as a dependable source of quality R&B, hip-hop, soul or whatever category he's into or placed in at this moment.
